Kumar C. Shah, BDS, MS, is a professor of clinical dentistry and a board-certified prosthodontist and maxillofacial prosthodontist in the Division of Advanced Prosthodontics at UCLA. He earned his dental degree from the National University of Singapore and his Master of Science degree and a certificate in prosthodontics at The Ohio State University, after which he completed maxillofacial prosthetics fellowship training and a translational science certificate at UCLA. Dr Shah is the Director of the Graduate Prosthodontics residency program at UCLA, Advanced Prosthodontics and Implantology Preceptorship Programs as well as Director of the Faculty Group Dental practice at UCLA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics, Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, and Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has been on Board of Directors for several nonprofit dental organizations. In addition to being a coeditor of both editions of Fundamentals of Implant Dentistry, Vol 1, he is also a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and has been an ad-hoc reviewer in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Dr Shah currently practices in the UCLA faculty group dental practice. He practices all areas of restorative and esthetic dentistry (fixed and removable prosthodontics), including full-mouth rehabilitation and reconstruction with a special emphasis on implant prosthodontics.
Yair Sharav, DMD, MS, is a professor in the Department of Oral Medicine at The Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. Dr Sharav is responsible for establishing the Orofacial Pain Clinic at Hadassah Medical Center in 1974—the first of its kind in Israel—and directing it as well as the Center for Pain Research at The Hebrew University for over 25 years. He has also served variously as a past dean of the School of Dental Medicine at The Hebrew University and a former head of the Department of Oral Diagnosis, Oral Medicine, and Radiology at Hadassah Medical Center. Internationally, he was a visiting professor at Toronto University and a visiting scientist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr Sharav's work has contributed widely to the knowledge and understanding of the diagnosis, treatment, and mechanisms of orofacial pain.
Hagay is Chair of the Endodontics division at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), Netherlands, and maintains a private practice specialising in Endodontics. Hagay's PhD thesis was titled "New insights into the root canal wall". Since 2000, he has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at ACTA. His research interests are the outcomes of root canal treatments with CBCT evaluation, root canal filling materials, and the effects of endodontic procedures on the root canal walls. He has supervised over 35 Masters and PhD students. Hagay has published over 45 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals on various aspects of Endodontology.

Dr. Bart Silverman’s dental journey began after he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1982 Summa Cum Laude. He then went on to receive his doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1986 from Fairleigh Dickinson Jr. School of Dentistry, where he was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. Dr. Silverman completed his Oral and Maxillofacial residency at Westchester County Medical Center in 1989 and was chief resident in his final year. Today, Dr. Silverman is in private practice limited to oral and maxillofacial surgery in New York City, NY, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. He has given lectures in the field of implant dentistry for over 25 years and is passionate about continuing education. Dr. Silverman is an attending Physician at Westchester County Medical Center, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Clinical Associate Professor at New York Medical College, Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery New York University School of Dentistry, and faculty at NYU Post Grad Continuing Education Dental Implant Program.
