J. William Robbins, DDS, MA, maintains a full-time private practice in San Antonio, Texas, and is an adjunct professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Texas Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. He has published over 80 articles, abstracts, and chapters on a wide range of dental subjects and has lectured worldwide. He coedited a textbook, Fundamentals of Operative Dentistry: A Contemporary Approach, which is now in its fourth edition (Quintessence, 2013). He has won several awards, including the Presidential Teaching Award at the University of Texas Health Science Center and the 2002 Texas Dentist of the Year Award. Dr Robbins is a diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry.
Dr Rôças is Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry, and Head of the Molecular Microbiology Laboratory, Grande Rio University, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is also Professor of the Dental Research Group, Iguaçu University, Nova Iguaçu, RJ, Brazil. Dr Rôças has contributed significantly to the field of endodontics and is one of the most productive minds in the specialty. She has authored or coauthored numerous chapters for leading international endodontic textbooks and more than 250 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Rôças currently serves as a member of the editorial board of several international journals for which she is also a reviewer.
Isabella Rocchietta, DDS, MSc, is an honorary senior research associate to the Department of Periodontology and a lecturer for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. She is an elected board member of the European Academy for Osseointegration and a member of the Experts Council of the Osteology Foundation. She is the author of several national and international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr Rocchietta performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in London and Milan and lectures internationally.
Dr. Mario Roccuzzo is a Private Practitioner in Turin, Italy. He obtained his DDS Degree with Honors from the Università degli Studi di Torino CIR Dental School and completed his Postgraduate Training in Periodontology at Karolinska Institutet and Università degli Studi di Siena Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia. Dr. Roccuzzo is a Member of the European Association for Osseointegration and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has served as the Past President of the Italy Section of the International Team for Implantology and is on the Editorial Board of Clinical Oral Implants Research and the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He has lectured extensively all over the world and is the author of numerous publications in the field of Mucogingival Surgery, Bone Regeneration and Dental Implants.
PD Dr. med. dent. Nadja Rohr is head of the Biomaterials and Technology research group at the University Center for Dental Medicine Basel UZB, Switzerland and head of dental technicians. The group analyzes clinical challenges and finds a translational research approach to provide convincing evidence-based solutions for clinicians and manufacturers.
Nadja Rohr lectures on dental materials for bachelor and master students and is involved in practical courses in Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Basel. She studied dentistry in Basel where she also received her doctoral degree in 2016. To gain a more in depth understanding of material-cell interaction, she spent a year at the Cell Biology Department in Rostock, Germany in 2018. Since 2020 she holds a PD title in Reconstructive Dentistry and finished a Master of Business Administration degree at the FHNW in 2023.
