Chris R. Richardson, DMD, MS, is an adjunct clinical professor in the Graduate Periodontics Clinic at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and president-elect of the American Academy of Periodontology. He serves on the editorial board for The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, is a fellow of the Virginia Dental Association and the International College of Dentists, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2018 AAP Educator Award at VCU. Dr Richardson maintains a private practice in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Domenico Ricucci received his degree in General Medicine from "La Sapienza" University of Rome in 1982, and his DDS from the same University in 1985. Since then on he has maintained private dental practices limited to endodontics. He served in the Research Committee of the European Society of Endodontology from 1999 to 2005. Since 1998 he has run his own histology laboratory and his primary research interest relates to pulpal and periapical tissue reactions to caries and treatment procedures, biofilms in endodontic infections, etiology of RTC treatment failure, pulp regeneration / revascularization. Dr Ricucci has published 112 papers and has lectured both nationally and internationally. He has authored the Textbook and Atlas "Patologia e Clinica Endodontica", the textbook and atlas "Endodontology. An integrated biological and clinical view", also translated into Chinese, Russian, Japanese. He has also authored or co-authored 22 book chapters.
Isabella Rocchietta, DDS, MSc, is an honorary senior research associate to the Department of Periodontology and a lecturer for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. She is an elected board member of the European Academy for Osseointegration and a member of the Experts Council of the Osteology Foundation. She is the author of several national and international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr Rocchietta performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in London and Milan and lectures internationally.
Dr. Mario Roccuzzo is a Private Practitioner in Turin, Italy. He obtained his DDS Degree with Honors from the Università degli Studi di Torino CIR Dental School and completed his Postgraduate Training in Periodontology at Karolinska Institutet and Università degli Studi di Siena Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia. Dr. Roccuzzo is a Member of the European Association for Osseointegration and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has served as the Past President of the Italy Section of the International Team for Implantology and is on the Editorial Board of Clinical Oral Implants Research and the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He has lectured extensively all over the world and is the author of numerous publications in the field of Mucogingival Surgery, Bone Regeneration and Dental Implants.
PD Dr. med. dent. Nadja Rohr is head of the Biomaterials and Technology research group at the University Center for Dental Medicine Basel UZB, Switzerland and head of dental technicians. The group analyzes clinical challenges and finds a translational research approach to provide convincing evidence-based solutions for clinicians and manufacturers.
Nadja Rohr lectures on dental materials for bachelor and master students and is involved in practical courses in Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Basel. She studied dentistry in Basel where she also received her doctoral degree in 2016. To gain a more in depth understanding of material-cell interaction, she spent a year at the Cell Biology Department in Rostock, Germany in 2018. Since 2020 she holds a PD title in Reconstructive Dentistry and finished a Master of Business Administration degree at the FHNW in 2023.
Giuseppe Romeo, MDT-CDT, is a distinguished Dental Technician who operates his own practice in Torino, Italy. His educational journey in the field began with earning a degree in the 5th year of Dental Technician training, followed by two years of university study, culminating in a Master's Degree in Dental Technologist Esthetic Prosthodontics. Romeo has expanded his expertise through continuing education, both in Italy and internationally, with work experiences in the United States and Switzerland.
As a speaker both domestically and abroad, he continues to participate in update courses to enhance his skills and knowledge. Romeo has contributed to the dental community as the author of 40 articles published in prestigious Italian and international dentistry magazines. He collaborated with Doctor Domenico Massironi and Mister Romeo Pascetta on the book “Esthetics and Precision. Clinical and technical procedures.”, which was published by Quintessence and translated into eight languages. Additionally, he is a coauthor of “Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry”, a work created alongside Dr. Douglas Terry and Mr. Willi Geller and published by Quintessence. Currently, he is working on two new books set to be published in the near future.
Romeo is an active member of Willi Geller’s Oral Design group, a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), a Member of the American Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED), and an Affiliate Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). His commitment to academia is evident in his role as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Restorative Science at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Marisa Roncati, RDH, DDS, is a dental hygiene teacher at the Albanian University dental school. She also teaches oral laser applications at the University of Parma and Rome University and oral surgery and pathology at the University of Parma. Dr Roncati is a registered dental hygienist and the author of two books published in English: Get Sharp: Nonsurgical Periodontal Instrument Sharpening (Quintessence, 2011) and Nonsurgical Periodontal Therapy: Indications, Limits, and Clinical Protocols with the Adjunctive Use of Diode Laser (Quintessence, 2017).
Marco Ronda, MD, DDS, annually attends the meetings organized by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and several specialized courses on the techniques of horizontal and vertical bone regeneration. He also participates in annual continuing dental education at the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr Ronda maintains a private practice in Genoa, Italy, where he periodically provides practical training courses in implantology and bone regeneration techniques.
Born in Savona in 1961 where he lives and has worked in his own laboratory since 1982 with his collaborators. Graduated from the dental technicians school IPSIA “P.Gaslini” in Genoa in 1979. He continued his education by attending relevant workshops for the “Italian dental school “and furthered his professional experience in Switzerland, Germany and Japan. Particularly interested in the morphology and dental aesthetics, he has collaborated in the development of aesthetic dental restoration materials. and is author of “Techniques of Ceramic multistratification” (ed.UTET). He has created a manual for laboratory work on the use of composite materials by determining work protocols for the indirect technique and also for the technique of pressing composite structures on metal know as the “inverse stratification system” which he designed. He is the author of numerous articles on aesthetic restoration published in Italy and abroad. Some of his cases are published in the text “The conservative restoration of anterior teeth.”(ed.ACME) Vanini Mangani Klimovscaja. other clinical cases are presented by Dr. W. Devoto in the publication ”Restorative Dentistry: Treatment procedures and future prospects” (Ed. E. Masson). Active member EAED. Member and speaker SICED. Teacher-trainer in practical dental aesthetics at the graduate school of Brescia SICED.
Sabine Ruf, DDS, Dr. med. dent. habil. (PhD) received her dental, orthodontic and scientic degrees from the School of Dentistry, Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen, Germany. In 1994 she obtained her Dr. med. dent. with the thesis entitled: “Facial morphology, size and activity of the masseter muscle”. She became a certified specialist in Orthodontics in 1995. Thereafter, in 2001 she was granted the degree of Dr. med. dent. habil. (PhD) with the thesis entitled “Influence of the Herbst appliance on mandibular growth and TMJ function”. From 2002 to 2005 she served as Professor and Chair of Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry at the University of Berne, Switzerland. Since October 2005 she has been Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics at the Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen. Professor Ruf has published 50 articles, 20 of which deal with the Herbst appliance. She has been an invited lecturer at 50 national and international conferences and has received several awards and honors. Additionally, she was active as Visiting Professor at the Dental Faculty at Hong Kong University in 1997, were she also served as External Examiner for the Masters in Orthodontics in 2005. Furthermore, she is Editorial Board Member of several orthodontic journals and was Meeting President of the German Orthodontic Society in 2007. Professor Ruf is especially interested in clinical research, focusing on functional appliances and their effect on masticatory muscle and TMJ function.
