This report reviews the occurrence of PPS after implant surgery in five patients. The patients had no previous experience of parotid swelling, sialadenitis, or sialoangiitis. The incidence of PPS at the author's clinic was 1.7%. Although a causal relationship is suspected between the implant surgical procedure and PPS in these patients, no exact relationships were found.
