Use of two separate implants in the mandible enhances the retention and stability of the denture, which is still mainly supported by soft tissues. A technique for clinical fixation of the internal attachment to a laboratory-rebased and tissue-loaded mandibular overdenture is described. The advantages, disadvantages, and the rationale of the treatment are presented.
