In this comprehensive review guide, all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery are covered in the form of over 1,700 multiple-choice questions. Detailed answers follow that help to explain and contextualize the question and its clinical relevance, with accompanying illustrations where necessary to aid understanding. The book is separated by topic and specialty, beginning with anatomy and working through anesthesia/pharmacology, cleft lip and palate, cosmetic procedures, craniofacial surgery, dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery, infection and pathology, medicine, orthognathics, reconstructive surgery, TMJ, and trauma, so readers can study it in its entirety or focus on one area at a time. Written by the head of a regional exam committee for OMFS boards, this book can help to prepare readers for board examination as well as serve as a refresher for practicing oral surgeons to review their craft.
