Prof Iain L.C. Chapple, PhD, BDS, FDSRCPS, FDSRCS, CCST (Rest Dent), is Professor of Periodontology and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, and Head of Research for the Institute of Clinical Sciences, at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Stephen graduated BDS (Malaya) in 1983, MDSc (Melbourne) in 1987 and completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2008. He was awarded Fellowship by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 1988 (KG Sutherland Prize). He holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at The School of Dentistry, The University of Melbourne. Stephen’s clinical and scientific interests are in the field of periodontal tissue regeneration, bone grafting and dental implants. He has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored 2 textbooks and contributed chapters to 6 textbooks. Stephen is president-elect of the ITI (International Team for Implantology), an international not-for-profit academic organization in the field of dental implantology with over 15,000 members worldwide in over 100 countries. He has served as chairman of the ITI Education Committee and is currently a member of the ITI Board of Directors. In Australia, he has contributed significantly to local academic and professional associations, having previously served as chairman of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). He was awarded honorary life membership of the Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS) for services to the organization.
Dr. Gerard Chiche is the Director of the Center for Esthetic and Implant Dentistry at Georgia Regents University, College of Dental Medicine in Augusta, Georgia. In 2009 he became the first recipient of the Thomas P. Hinman Endowed Chair in Restorative Dentistry at his university, sponsored by the Hinman Dental Society. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has authored two textbooks entitled Esthetics of Anterior Fixed Restorations and Smile Design – A guide for Clinicians, Ceramists and Patients.

BS Chong is Professor of Restorative Dentistry/Honorary Consultant, Endodontic Lead & Director, Postgraduate Endodontics, Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. In addition, he is a General Dental Council (UK) registered Specialist in Endodontics and has been in private practice since 1990. Professor Chong is the Editor and contributing author of two editions (6th and 7th) of Harty's Endodontics in Clinical Practice; author of Managing Endodontic Failure in Practice; contributing author to Self-Assessment Picture Tests in Dentistry: Endodontics and Principles of Endodontics. He is also on the Editorial Board of the International Endodontic Journal, and President, British Endodontic Society (2017-18).
Kwangchul Choy, DDS, MS, PhD, is a former professor of orthodontics at Yonsei University. He completed his orthodontic training at Yonsei University and was a research fellow and visiting professor at the University of Connecticut. Dr Choy is currently a clinical professor at Yonsei University as well as an adjunct professor of orthodontics at Ewha Womans University. He has published over 30 papers and book chapters in the field of biomechanics of tooth movement and orthodontic appliances. Dr Choy lectures around the world on biomechanics and maintains a private practice in Seoul, South Korea.
Stephen J. Chu, DMD, MSD, CDT, MDT, is an adjunct clinical professor at the New York University College of Dentistry in the Departments of Periodontology, Implant Dentistry, and Prosthodontics. He has contributed to over 80 publications, including six textbooks, and has given lectures nationally and internationally on the subjects of esthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. Dr Chu maintains a private practice limited to fixed prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry, and implant dentistry in New York City.
Dr Clavijo holds a degree in Dentistry from Universidade Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil (2002) and obtained the title of Specialist, Master and Doctor in Restorative Dentistry, from UNESP Araraquara (2003–2011). Despite his academic background, his focus is on clinical care. He has followed in the footsteps of his father, who has been a clinician for over 50 years in the city of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. He has more than 60 articles published in national and international journals and has authored and co-authored books in the dental field. His work is based on clinical and scientific evidence. Currently, he divides his time between appointments at his clinic, classes, and courses in Brazil and abroad. In addition, he contributes to research in dentistry; he conducts research annually at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, as a visiting professor.
Christian Coachman, DDS, CDT, attended the ceramic specialization program at the Ceramoart Training Center, where he also became an instructor. In 2004, he was invited by Drs Goldstein, Garber, and Salama of Team Atlanta to become head ceramist of their laboratory, a position he held for 5 years. He is a consultant for dental offices and companies, developing products and implementing concepts. He is the developer of well-known techniques such as the Pink Hybrid Implant Restoration and the Digital Smile Design Concept. Dr Coachman has lectured and published internationally and maintains a family-run private practice in São Paulo, Brazil.
Roberto Cocchetto, DDS, MD, graduated in medicine and surgery before specializing in dentistry and prosthodontics at the Verona University, Italy. As a professor, he has taught postgraduate courses in advanced implant treatment at the University of Udine and the University of Chieti in Italy. Dr Cocchetto has dedicated his professional interests to implant prosthodontics and surgery and has been involved in several clinical studies on peri-implant bone preservation and immediate loading.
