Dr Clavijo holds a degree in Dentistry from Universidade Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil (2002) and obtained the title of Specialist, Master and Doctor in Restorative Dentistry, from UNESP Araraquara (2003–2011). Despite his academic background, his focus is on clinical care. He has followed in the footsteps of his father, who has been a clinician for over 50 years in the city of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. He has more than 60 articles published in national and international journals and has authored and co-authored books in the dental field. His work is based on clinical and scientific evidence. Currently, he divides his time between appointments at his clinic, classes, and courses in Brazil and abroad. In addition, he contributes to research in dentistry; he conducts research annually at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, as a visiting professor.
Donald S. Clem, DDS, is the recipient of numerous awards, including Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Periodontics by the California Society of Periodontists and the American Academy of Periodontology’s Gold Medal, the highest award the Academy can bestow. He is a past president of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Board of Periodontology. Dr Clem has authored over 30 publications, including three textbook chapters, and lectures internationally on sedation, periodontal regeneration, dental implants, and bone healing. Lyndon Cooper, DDS, PhD, practices as a prosthodontist in Chicago and is the associate dean for research and head of the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in Chicago. Dr Cooper is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and served as president of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) as well as chair of the ACP Education Foundation. He is the recipient of several awards, including the 2016 Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists’ Schweitzer Award for Research and the 2017 International Association for Dental Research/Academy of Osseointegration Innovation in Implant Sciences Award. Dr. Luca Cordaro is chair of the Department of Periodontology and Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital in Rome. He graduated in Medicine at the University of Roma "La Sapienza" where he also got a degree in Dentistry. He holds a Ph.D. degree and is a certified specialist in oral surgery. He also works, together with his brother, in a private practice founded in 1957 by his father. Dr Cordaro is author or co- author of more than 70 papers published in italian or international journals and has lectured in Europe, Asia, North and South America. In 2007 he won the H. Goldman Prize for Clinical Research of the Italian Society of Periodontology. He is author of different book chapters and coauthor of the books "The SAC Classification in Implant Dentistry" and ITI Treatment Guide 7 published by Quintessence Publishing.
