Dr. Terry E. Donovan DDS

Dr. Terence E. Donovan, DDS is a professor and section head of biomaterials in the Department of Operative Dentistry at the University of North Carolina and the School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill. He was a professor and director of the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics program at the University of Southern California from 1988 to 2006. He has been associate dean for general practice and executive associate dean for academic affairs at USC. He was also the chairman of the Department of Restorative Dentistry from 1984 to 1991, and from 1994 to 2001. Dr. Donovan is past chairman of the American Dental Association's Council on Dental Materials, Instruments, and Equipment. He has published extensively and has lectured worldwide on the topics of restorative dentistry and materials science. Dr. Donovan received his DDS from the University of Alberta in 1967 and practiced full-time in Regina, Saskatchewan for 13 years. He received his Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics from USC in 1981.

Dr. Nicholas L. Egbert DDS, MDS

Dr. Nicholas Luke Egbert DDS, MDS, FACP received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology at the University of Utah. He then completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Fascinated with complex reconstructive implant dentistry, he then pursued a full-time three-year residency in Advanced Surgical Prosthodontics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.  During his residency, Dr. Egbert earned his Masters of Dental Science evaluating the accuracy of CT-generated implant guides. In addition to his Master’s research, he leads clinical research projects comparing the efficacy of modern bone grafting techniques. Striving to make each patient experience as comfortable as possible, Dr. Egbert is certified to provide sage, and IV moderate sedation. Most importantly, Dr. Egbert is one of four board-certified prosthodontists in the state of Utah. Dr. Egbert is the only board-certified prosthodontist in the state who completed advanced surgical implant and bone graft training in his residency. He currently serves as the vice president of the Utah Prosthodontic Society. Dr. Egbert maintains a private practice limited to surgical prosthodontics in Salt Lake City, Utah. In October 2013, Dr. Egbert was one of 5 Dental Implant Specialists in the nation recognized by his colleagues (American College of Prosthodontics –ACP) and was awarded the “Prosthodontic Private Practice Award.” His emphasis and passion are for image-guided, digitally-assisted, dental implant treatment planning, surgery, and restoration. Dr. Egbert also provides continuing education courses and lectures regularly. Dr. Egbert is currently an attending faculty member overseeing IV sedation, extractions, bone grafting, dental implant surgery, and restoration at the University of Utah Hospital General Practice Residency (GRP) and Roseman Dental’s Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) on Monday afternoons. He enjoys teaching and giving back to the community in efforts of elevating the standard of dental care provided to the public.

Dr. med. dent. German O. Gallucci DDS, PhD

Dr. German Gallucci schloss sein Zahnmedizinstudium (Dr. Med. Dent.) an der Universität Genf, Schweiz, ab. Er absolvierte eine Zusatzausbildung an der Abteilung für festsitzende Prothetik und Okklusion der zahnmedizinischen Fakultät an der Universität Genf, wo er später eine Vollzeittätigkeit in derselben Abteilung aufnahm. Dr. Gallucci erhielt zudem einen Doktortitel von der Freien Universität Amsterdam.  Im Jahr 2007 gründete er ein neues Fortbildungsprogramm für orale Implantologie an der Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Zurzeit ist er Vorsitzender der Abteilung für restaurative Zahnmedizin und Biomaterialien und leitet das Harvard Dental Center als Geschäftsführer. Dr. Gallucci nimmt an Vorträgen, Seminaren, Praxiskursen und Diskussionsrunden auf nationalen und internationalen Tagungen und Symposien teil. Er ist Autor wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen auf dem Gebiet der festsitzenden Prothetik und der Implantologie, seine Arbeiten wurden größtenteils in internationalen, begutachteten Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht. Dr. Gallucci ist Mitglied des Redaktionsausschusses des Journal of Dental Research (JDR), des Clinical Oral Implants Research (COIR) und des International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI). Er ist Fellow des International Team for Implantology (ITI), Schweiz, und aktives Mitglied der Academy of Osseointegration und der European Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Sarit Kaplan DMD, MS, FACP

Dr. Kaplan graduated from the Hadassah School of Dental Medicine at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, where she earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Passionate about making a difference in her patients’ quality of life through dentistry, she advanced her specialized skills by attending the post-graduate Prosthodontic Residency Program at the University of Maryland. This highly concentrated three-year program in Prosthodontics consisted of advanced education and training treating simple to complex dental restorations for all ages. At the same time, she also earned the degree of Master of Science. Once completed, Dr. Kaplan surpassed all the required exams, peer reviews and extensive treatment hours to earn the prestigious honor of Board Certification in Prosthodontics. Dr. Kaplan is one of a selected group of specialists in Greater DC who have extensive experience, education and training in the areas of Obstructive Sleep Apnea appliances and in the diagnosis, treatment and occlusal restoration of temporomandibular disorders, better known to most as TMJ and/or TMD. Dr. Kaplan is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Prosthodontic Residency Program at the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Kaplan instructs future prosthodontists about the challenges of treating highly complex dental and esthetic procedures. As an educator, Dr. Kaplan has published case studies in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Journal of the American Dental Association. She is the Past President of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) – Maryland region. Dr. Kaplan was also selected by her peers to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and she served as the chairperson for the Poster Program of the Academy.

Dr. Sonia Leziy DDS, Dipl Perio, FCDSBC, FRCDC

Kanada, Nanaimo

Sonia Leziy received her dental degree from McGill University. Her post-graduate degree in periodontics was completed at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Leziy is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a member of the British Columbia Society of Periodontists, the Canadian Academy of Periodontists, the American Academy of Periodontists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED). She co-mentors the Vancouver Implant Periodontal and Prosthetic Study Group (VIP) which focuses on total treatment solutions from diagnosis to final restoration. Dr. Leziy is a member of the editorial boards of the Journals Spectrum Dialogue, the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and the Journal Teamwork. She has been recognized among the top clinicians in CE in North America for the last 6 years by Dentistry Today. She has published extensively on implant esthetics and more recently co-authored two textbooks on Interdisciplinary Treatment published by Quintessence and a third Esthetics in Dentistry Wiley, Blackwell. She lectures nationally and internationally on the subject of implants and advanced esthetics/periodontal plastic surgery and digital workflows.

Dr. Mariam Malament DMD, MSc, PhD, FACP

Dr. Margvelashvili-Malament has published over 50 articles and abstracts in international, peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in three textbooks, while she serves as reviewer for several impact-factored dental journals. She is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics and Associate Fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. She is a co-author of national residency program in Prosthodontics in Georgia. She was also the Founding Chair and a Full Professor of the International Dental Program at the University of Georgia. She lectures extensively on dental implants and aesthetics in national and international dental meetings. Currently, Dr. Margvelashvili-Malament serves as an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and  visiting Associate Professor at the University of Georgia, Georgia. Her clinical expertise covers all aspects of Implant, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry.

Dr. Radi Masri DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Masri is a tenured professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and the School of Medicine. He is the Program Director of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics and the Director of the Division of Prosthodontics within the Department of Advanced Oral Sciences and Therapeutics. Dr. Masri is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics, a past president of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Masri is heavily involved in developing and implementing cutting edge technologies used in oral health care. He lectures nationally and internationally and serves as an external examiner for international dental schools in the field of prosthodontics. Dr. Masri is the author of a first-of-its-kind book on the applications of digital technologies in the dental field. He has authored numerous scientific papers, holds several patents, and currently supervises a federally funded research laboratory. Dr. Masri has received many honors, including the 2013 American College of Prosthodontist (ACP) Clinician Researcher Award, the 2015 Maryland LIFE Award for the most promising technology, the 2018 ACP Distinguished Service Award, the 2021 Elkins-Wilson Endowed Professorship, and the 2023 Garver-Staffanou Award from the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.

Dr. Bradley A. Purcell DDS

Dr. Brad Purcell received his dental degree with honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also graduated with honors and received his specialty in Prosthodontics and Masters of Science degree from The Ohio State University, School of Dentistry.  As a student he was in Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and the National Jesuit Honor Society.  As a student, he was awarded the “Outstanding Clinician” award, the “Outstanding Performance and Professionalism” award and the “Outstanding Performance in the Science of Occlusion and Temporomandibular Joint Function” award. Since entering private practice, Dr. Purcell was elected President of the Virginia Section of the American College of Prosthodontists, is and has been director of the Spectrum Dental Society, Prosthodontic Advisor for both the local Seattle Study Club and Advanced Dental Concepts study club.   He is a member of several professional organizations including the Academy of Osseointegration, the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Dental Association.  Dr. Purcell has been Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry, and has given over 4000 hours of continuing education lecturing nationally and internationally to private practice dentists. Additionally, he has reviewed articles for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants and continues to publish peer reviewed journal articles specifically in the area of dental implants.  Every year since 2011 he has been selected to Top Dentists in the State of Ohio.  Dr. Purcell currently maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics at Spectrum Dental & Prosthodontics in Worthington, Ohio.

Prof. Dr. Irena Sailer

Prof. Dr. Irena Sailer promovierte an der Universität Tübingen in Deutschland (1997/1998). Sie erhielt eine Assistenzprofessur an der Klinik für festsitzende und herausnehmbare Prothetik und zahnärztliche Materialkunde in Zürich, Schweiz (2003), wo sie ab 2010 als außerordentliche Professorin tätig war. Im Jahr 2007 war Prof. Dr. Sailer Visiting Scholar am Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics am Dental College der New York University, USA. Seit 2009 ist sie Gastprofessorin am Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, Robert Schattner Center, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA (Leitung: Prof. Dr. M. B. Blatz). Prof. Dr. Sailer ist Direktorin der Abteilung für festsitzende Prothetik und Biomaterialien an der Universität Genf, Schweiz. Im Jahr 2019 erhielt sie eine Honorarprofessur an der Universität Aarhus, Dänemark. Sie ist Spezialistin für Prothetik (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin) und besitzt ein Zertifikat für besondere Aktivitäten in der dentalen Implantologie (WBA) der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Zahnmedizin. Sie ist Mitglied des Vorstands der European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Vizepräsidentin der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Mitglied der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Rekonstruktive Zahnmedizin, des Education Committee des International Team for Implantology (ITI) und der Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) sowie Chefredakteurin des International Journal of Prosthodontics und hat zahlreiche Publikationen veröffentlicht.
