Periodontal plastic surgical procedures aim to restore both gingival esthetics as well as function in these defects. This case report highlights four periodontal plastic surgical techniques (the coronally advanced flap for single and multiple recession defects, double papillae with subepithelial connective tissue graft, and envelope technique with subepithelial connective tissue graft) that have been employed for root coverage in isolated Miller Class I recession defects in a 35-year-old individual. Three of the techniques resulted in 100% root coverage in all treated sites, while the site treated with subepithelial connective graft by envelope technique resulted in 83.3% root coverage. Treatment also helped to resolve hypersensitivity and achieved satisfaction of the patient's esthetic concerns.
