Hans Pancherz erhielt seine zahnärztliche und kieferorthopädische Ausbildung an der Fakultät für Zahnmedizin der Universität Lund in Malmö, Schweden. Er wurde 1974 zum Fachzahnarzt für Kieferorthopädie ernannt. Von 1975 bis 1985 war er außerordentlicher Professor an der kieferorthopädischen Abteilung der Universität Lund. Im Jahr 1985 wurde er zum Lehrstuhlinhaber an der Universität Gießen, Deutschland, ernannt, wo er von 1985 bis 2005 tätig war. Professor Pancherz hat 180 wissenschaftliche Artikel veröffentlicht, von denen sich 101 mit der Herbst-Apparatur befassen. Er wurde als Referent zu mehr als 200 nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen auf der ganzen Welt eingeladen und hat zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen erhalten.
Gianluca Paniz erwarb im Jahr 2002 seinen Zahnarztdiplom (DDS) an der Universität Padua (Italien). Anschließend absolvierte er mehr als drei Jahre (2003-2007) an der TUFTS University (Boston, USA), wo er das Zertifikat für Fortgeschrittene Ausbildung in Prothetik, den Master of Science und das Zertifikat für Fortgeschrittene Ausbildung in Ästhetischer Zahnmedizin erlangte. Derzeit ist Gianluca Paniz als außerordentlicher Assistenzprofessor am Department für Prothetik und Operative Zahnmedizin an der TUFTS University tätig und als Gastprofessor am Department für Implantologie an der Universität Padua. Gianluca ist Diplomate des American Board of Prosthodontics und International Fellow des American College of Prosthodontics. Er ist Mitglied der Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP), aktives Mitglied der Italian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (IAED) und Präsident des Wissenschaftlichen Ausschusses der Italian Society of Osseointegration (SIO). Gianluca Paniz beschränkt seine Praxis auf Prothetik in seiner Praxis in Padua, Italien.

Rade D. Paravina, DDS, MS, PhD, is a tenured professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and director of the Houston Center for Biomaterials and Biomimetics (HCBB). He holds the Ralph C. Cooley, DDS Distinguished Professorship in Biomaterials, an endowment created by world-renowned heart surgeon Denton A. Cooley, MD. Dr Paravina has authored/co-edited four books, 15 book chapters, two software programs, one educational CD, and more than 270 other peer-reviewed publications (including articles and abstracts). His work has been cited more than 2500 times on Scopus and over 5500 times on Google Scholar. Dr Paravina designed and/or developed several dental products and tests. This includes Linearguide 3D Master and Bleachedguide 3D Master shade guides (with Vita Zahnfabrik), Dental Color Matcher, a free online educational and training program for esthetic dentistry, and the scientific protocol for evaluating the "chameleon effect" of dental materials. Dr Paravina is founder and past president of the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry (SCAD). He is a recipient of the 2011 E. B. Clark Award, SCAD recognition for liefetime achievement, and the 2014 Jerome M. and Dorothy Schweitzer Research Award of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. He is Director of the Executive Council of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED) and a fellow of AAED, SCAD, and the American Association for Dental Research (AADR). He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry and an editorial board member of several highly regarded journals.

Shanon divides his time between specialist practice in central London, and teaching in the Endodontic Postgraduate Unit at King's College London. His primary research interests include the factors influencing tooth survival, management of root resorption, dental trauma, and the applications of CBCT in Endodontics. He has supervised over 35 Masters and PhD students. His expertise in endodontic imaging led to him being the lead author of the European Society of Endodontology's position statement on CBCT in Endodontics. Shanon is regularly invited to lecture nationally and internationally on a variety of endodontic themes. He has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, (co-)authored 15 book chapters, and co-edited three endodontic textbooks.

Francesco Pedetta, MD, DDS, graduated in medicine and surgery with a postgraduate dentistry qualification in Italy. In 1991, he joined the prestigious Postgraduate School of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he gained his Certificate of Orthodontics under the guidance of Dr Robert L. Vanarsdall. After returning to Italy, he set up a private practice limited exclusively to orthodontics and temporomandibular disorders but continued to lecture at the University of Pennsylvania as well as at Perugia University. In 2012, he met the master of orthodontics, Dr Larry Andrews, who initiated him into the Six Elements philosophy, inspiring him to completely change his approach. Dr Pedetta then devoted himself to teaching this philosophy. He went on to develop his personal orthodontic approach known as the New Straight Wire approach, which incorporates all of Andrews's teachings in an up-to-date and effective method encompassing diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy.
Paolo Pera, MD, DDS, PhD, graduated in medicine from the University of Turin, Italy in 1975. Professor Pera was a former postgraduate student of Professor Giulio Preti and specialized in dentistry in the University of Turin in 1979. Since 1980, he collaborated with the clinical, teaching, and research activity of the Prosthodontics Department of Turin University. He lectured as assistant professor at many Universities in Italy and abroad. In 1997 Professor Pera became a full professor of prosthodontics at the University of Genoa, Italy. Past president of the Italian Society of Prosthetic and Implant-Prosthetic Dentistry and of the Dental Hygiene School of the University of Genoa. Professor Pera currently heads the Department of Implant and Prosthetic Dentistry of Genoa University. He has published many papers in Italian and international journals and university books text. Since 2004 Professor Pera has been a reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontic.

Giovanna Perrotti, DMD, is head of the Orthodontics and Children's Dentistry Unit at IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan, Italy. She teaches advanced courses on oral implantology as well as contemporary rehabilitation and reconstructive jaw therapy at the University of Milan. Dr Perrotti has a degree in dentistry and dental prosthetics with a specialization in orthognatodontics. Author of scientific papers on orthodontics and dental diagnostics, she is a member of the editorial boards of Quintessenza Internazionale, International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, Dental Cadmos, and CAD-CAM Digital Dentistry and is the coauthor of two multimedia collections for Med Tutor Odontoiatria (Utet Scienze Mediche, 2008 and 2014).
