Dr Anthony Mak is an acclaimed international speaker and Key Opinion Leader in the field of reconstructive, implant and aesthetic dentistry.

He is the founder of Wdental and InnerWestDental, and since the beginning of inception has instilled a philosophy and ethos of modern comprehensive dentistry that strives for perfection. And this has spread through the heart of both practices.
In 2017, together in partnership with Dr Adrian Mazzaferro, they rebuilt the new InnerWestDental, so that both practices are state of the art modern dental centres, serving the community.

Anthony’s art and passion for quality aesthetic dentistry has allowed him to publish his work in peer reviewed journals such as the Australian Dental Journal and multiple local and international dental magazines. He has also published compendiums in the field of aesthetic dentistry with composites and ceramics.

Dr Anthony Mak is a pioneer and early adopter in the field of Digital, CAD/CAM and 3D Printing in Dentistry. He is a strong advocate for minimally invasive restorative dental procedures.

Outside of clinical practice Dr Mak sits on Australian, European and American dental advisory boards of dental companies in the hope of advancing and improving the materials, tools, and techniques used for modern dentistry. He also runs lectures and workshops supporting and teaching young dentists in these fields.

Being a general dental practitioner with experience in a wide range of procedures, Dr Anthony Mak is able to harness these skills in a multi-disciplinary approach to look after each patient and their dental needs. And where specialist involvement is recommended, Dr Mak works with some of the best specialists in Sydney to ensure the patients are always under the best possible care.

An under and post-graduate of the University of Sydney Anthony is also on the executive committee of the University of Sydney, Dental Alumni and the renowned Post Graduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry (Uni of Syd) planning committee.

When not involved with dentistry, Anthony is busy with his young family trying to be the best father he can be.

Jordi Manauta wurde in Mexiko-Stadt geboren, wo er sein Studium der Zahnmedizin an der UNITEC (Universidad Tecnológica de México) mit "cum laude" abschloss und anschließend Schüler von Dr. Miguel Angel Tamés (Mexiko) und Dr. Walter Devoto (Italien) wurde. Außerdem studierte er an der UIC (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya) in Barcelona Zahnmedizin im Fachbereich Chirurgie und Ästhetik. Er ist zudem als Gastprofessor an den Universitäten von Siena und Marseille tätig. In Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Unternehmen hat er verschiedene Materialien und Instrumente für ästhetische Zahnmedizin und Fotografie entwickelt. Jordi Manauta ist Autor des Buches Layers (Quintessence Publishing 2012). Für zwei europäische Fachzeitschriften ist er als wissenschaftlicher Gutachter tätig. Er hat zahlreiche Beiträge in internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht und wird häufig als Referent zu ebenfalls internationalen Kongressen eingeladen. Daneben arbeitet er in seiner Privatpraxis.

Prof. Hesham Marei is a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He graduated at Cairo University in 1997, and then received his Master and Doctoral Degrees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Suez Canal University, Egypt. Dr. Marei has completed his clinical oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Cardiff Dental School, UK and obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 2006 from the Royal College of Surgeons in London.

Moreover, Dr. Marei has a passion in medical education. Such passion derived him to obtain another Master’s Degree in Medical Education in 2012 and a PhD in the Health Professions Education in 2018 at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. Dr. Marei PhD thesis is about the use of computer simulation in dental education.

Before moving to UAE, Dr. Marei has taken different academic and clinical positions in UK, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Marei last position was Associate Professor and Consultant of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, where he was awarded the best medical teacher for his academic excellence. Dr. Marei has also been involved as a subject matter expert in building different E-learning platforms that serve both the dental students and the profession. Moreover, he has provided consultation services to private and governmental dental colleges seeking national and international accreditation.

In research, Dr. Marei has over 35 publications in internationally recognized journal and his research focus is on the applications of 3D printing technology in dentistry, the effect of chemotherapy on bone healing, osseointegration of dental implants, use of virtual patients in dental education and medical professionalism. Dr. Marei has actively contributed with presentations, workshops and courses in both specialties at several national and international events in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Pakistan, the Netherlands, UK and USA.

Dr. Martín ist Professorin für Kieferorthopädie und Forschungsmethodik an der Universidad Complutense in Madrid (UCM) - Fakultät für Zahnmedizin. Sie bekleidet seit 1996 die Position einer klinischen Lehrerin im postgradualen Programm für Kieferorthopädie. Dr. Martín ist eine Fachärztin für Kieferorthopädie und hat ein dreijähriges postgraduales Programm an der Universidad Complutense in Madrid absolviert, sowie ergänzende postgraduale Studien an der UCLA. Sie ist eine Spezialistin für Statistik und experimentelles Design und hat einen Masterabschluss an der Universität Autonoma in Barcelona erlangt. Sie hat den Doktortitel in Zahnmedizin (Dr. Odont) erworben, indem sie ihre Promotion an der Universidad Complutense in Madrid abgeschlossen hat. Sie ist auch im Herausgebergremium des European Journal of Orthodontics tätig.
