Prof. Dr. Fouad Khoury absolvierte sein Studium der Zahnmedizin an der Saint-Joseph-Universität in Beirut/Libanon und spezialisierte sich an den Universitäten Freiburg und Münster auf Oralchirurgie. An der Universität Münster wurde er zum Oberarzt ernannt und schloss dort auch seine Habilitation ab. Seit 1994 ist er Inhaber einer Professur an der Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie der Universität Münster und Direktor der Privatzahnklinik Schloss Schellenstein, Olsberg, Deutschland. Prof. Khoury ist seit vielen Jahren Gastprofessor an mehreren Universitäten, Vorsitzender der Prüfungskommission für Oralchirurgie und Mitglied des Redaktionsausschusses zahlreicher internationaler Fachzeitschriften. Außerdem war er Vorsitzender der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie (AGOKI) der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde (DGZMK) und ist Mitherausgeber des International Journal of Oral Implantology. Er hat mehrere Auszeichnungen erhalten (z. B. den Pioneers in Dentistry Award 2016 der AUB und den William R. Laney Award der American Academy of Osseointegration 2017) und ist Inhaber zahlreicher Patente. Prof. Khoury ist Autor und Herausgeber von vier Lehrbuch-Bestsellern, die in mehr als 10 Sprachen übersetzt wurden.
Dr. Didier Dietschi erhielt seine Approbation 1984 und promovierte 1988 an der Universität Genf, Schweiz, wo 2004 auch die Berufung als Privatdozent folgte. 2003 erhielt er die Auszeichnung PhD an der University of ACTA, Niederlande. Nach einer 6-jährigen Vollzeit-Lehr- und Forschungstätigkeit in der Operativen Zahnmedizin und Parodontologie begann er eine Teilzeittätigkeit in einer Privatpraxis in Genf, deren Schwerpunkt auf der ästhetischen restaurativen Zahnmedizin liegt. Heute ist er außerordentlicher Professor an der CASE Western University (USA) und Senior Dozent an der Universität Genf. Dr. Dietschi hat über 100 klinische und wissenschaftliche Arbeiten und Buchkapitel zu adhäsiven und ästhetischen Restaurationen veröffentlicht. Er ist Co-Autor des Buches „Adhesive Metal-free Restorations“, das 1997 von Quintessenz herausgegeben und in sieben Sprachen übersetzt wurde. Dr. Dietschi ist international anerkannt für seine theoretischen und praktischen Lehrveranstaltungen zu adhäsiven und ästhetischen Restaurationen.
Snjezana Pohl has a dual degree in human and dental medicine. She is a specialist in oral surgery, a certificated EDA* specialist for periodontology and implantology, and a Dental XP expert.
She is in a private clinic in Rident, ADG, Croatia. Designated as an assistant professor, she also lectures at the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Rijeka.
Snjezana Pohl is one of the pioneers of Partial Extraction Therapy, the author of scientific papers, and an active national and international lecturer.
Dennis P. Tarnow, DDS, ist Klinikprofessor für Parodontologie und Leiter der Fachausbildung für Implantologie an der Columbia School of Dental Medicine. Er wurde mit dem Master Clinician Award der American Academy of Periodontology, dem Teacher of the Year Award der New York University und dem Distinguished Lecturer Award des American College of Prosthodontists ausgezeichnet. Er hat über 200 Artikel zur Perio-Prothetik und Implantologie veröffentlicht und ist Koautor von vier Lehrbüchern, darunter The Single-Tooth Implant (Quintessence Publishing, 2020) mit Dr. Stephen J. Dr. Pierpaolo Cortellini received his MD from the University of Florence (Italy) in 1980, and his DDS in 1984 from the University of Siena (Italy). Dr Cortellini is the Secretery of the Accademia Toscana di Ricerca Odontostomatologica, Firenze Italy, and Board Member of the European Research Group in Periodontology, Berne (CH). He is active Member and Past President of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Past President of the European Federation of Periodontology. Promoter of “Project Periodontal Diagnosis” and Coordinator of the 5 “National Educational Projects” from SIdP, he was Scientific Chairman of Europerio 6. He runs a private practice in Florence (Italy), with services limited to periodontics. Dr. Cortellini is involved in clinical research in periodontology since 1982, with special emphasis to periodontal regeneration, aesthetics, and diagnosis. Dr. Cortellini lectures extensively on a national and international level; he is referee of scientific journals in the field of periodontology, and is the author of more than 100 original publications in scientific journals.
Dr. Otto Zuhr genießt internationales Renommee für seine Leistungen in den Bereichen parodontale und peri-implantäre Erkrankungen sowie ästhetische Zahnfleischkorrekturen. Prof. Dr. Sadao Sato is an internationally most recognized specialist in the area of orthodontics. In 1971 Prof. Sato graduated from Kanagawa Dental College, Japan. After having received his degree DDSc in 1979 he became Assistant Professor in Kanagawa Dental University. In 1989 he was appointed Associate Professor and since 1996 until present he has been Professor in Kanagawa Dental University (Orthodontics). Between 1991 and 2001 Prof. Sato was President of Japan MEAW technique and research foundation. From 1992 onwards until today he has been Member of the Angle Society of Orthodontics. In 2009 Prof. Sadao Sato was appointed as Dean of Kanagawa Dental University. 2014 – Present, he is head of research institute of Occlusion Medicine in Kanagawa Dental University.

In 2006, Dr. Kraemer worked full time together with Prof. Rudolf Slavicek as his prosthodontist and as a researcher in the Center for Cranio-Mandibular-Disorders in Vienna and as a teaching assistant at the Danube University in Krems. Since 2007, Dr. Kraemer is on the faculty of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy – IDEA in Foster City, California teaching courses on: Oral Rehabilitation of Patients with and without Functional Disorders. She is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Team at the IDEA Faculty Clinic. In 2014, Dr. Kraemer founded together with Prof. Sadao Sato and Dr. Robert Lamb the Center for Craniofacial and Occlusal Medicine in San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA. Since 2006, she has lectured in Europe, Asia, and North America on Function, Occlusion and the Joint Related Treatment Approach.
Dr. West is a clinical visionary, inventor, author, teacher, and an advocate for any dentist that wants to experience the successful possibilities of endodontics in his or her practice. As the founder and director of the Center for Endodontics, British-born Dr. John West is recognized as one of world’s premier educators in clinical and interdisciplinary endodontics. Dr. John West received his DDS from the University of Washington in 1971 where he is an Affiliate Associate Professor. He then earned his MSD in endodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 1975 where he is a clinical instructor and has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Dr. West has presented unrivaled endodontic continuing education in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia while maintaining a private practice in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. West co-authored Obturation of the Radicular Space with Dr. John Ingle in Ingle’s 1994 and 2002 editions of Endodontics and was senior author of Cleaning and Shaping the Root Canal System in Cohen and Burns 1994 and 1998 Pathways of the Pulp. He has authored Endodontic Predictability in Dr. Michael Cohen’s 2008 Quintessence text Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: Principles, Design, Implementation, and Michael Cohen’s 2010 Quintessence text, Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning Volume II: Comprehensive Case Studies and is lead author of Esthetic Management of Endodontically Treated Teeth in Dr. Ronald Goldstein’s 2015 third edition of Esthetics in Dentistry. Dr. West’s memberships include: 2009 president and fellow of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and2010 president of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, the Northwest Network for Dental Excellence, and the International College of Dentists. He is a 2010 consultant for the ADA’s prestigious ADA Board of Trustees and is a consultant to the ADA Council on Dental Practice. Dr. West further serves on the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Boston University Alumni Board. He is a Thought Leader for Carestream Digital Dental Systems and serves on the editorial advisory boards for: The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, The Journal of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry and he is an associate editor for Endodontic Practice/US.
Dr. Jordan West earned his bachelor’s degree in 2005 at Santa Clara University. After college, he chose to pursue dentistry and attended the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. From there, he attended a two-year General Practice Residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. West completed his Master of Science in Dentistry in Endodontics at the University of Washington, under the guidance of endodontic chair and director, Dr. James D. Johnson, DDS, MS, FICD. Dr. West earned one of the top awards at the 2012 AAE Annual Session for his research on apex location using a novel obturation technique. In August of 2012, he joined his father, Dr. John West, and his brother, Dr. Jason West, at the Center for Endodontics in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. West enjoys being connected with the education of Endodontics, as he serves as a clinical instructor of Endodontics at the University of Washington dental school. He lectured and taught hands-on courses on clinical Endodontics at the 2013 Annual Session for the American Dental Association in New Orleans. Along with his passionate and caring nature, Dr. West brings a sense of calm and confidence to those he serves. He is committed to providing his patients with both exceptional technical skill as well as a sincere desire for their overall health and wellbeing. As a proud uncle of six amazing and unique nieces and nephews Dr. Jordan West spends his leisure time with his incredible wife and the extended family. Depending on the season he can most likely be found skiing on the water in front of Fox Island or rushing the slopes of White Pass in the Cascades.
As the son of two successful dentists, Dr. Ken Hovden has dentistry in his blood. He was born and raised as a third-generation San Franciscan, and he attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Dr. Hovden completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University—graduating with honors and a dual degree in biology and social/political science. Dr. Hovden went on to earn his doctorate from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (UOP), where he received the prestigious Gene Dixon Student Leadership Award, along with being inducted into the top honor dental society OKU. After graduating in 1981, Kenneth Hovden, DDS, joined his father in private practice. He remained in practice with his dad until his father’s retirement in 1997. A vested member of the dental community, Daly City cosmetic dentist Dr. Ken Hovden’s reputation for excellence and dedication to quality work are unsurpassed! To continually hone his skills, Dr. Hovden has trained with the country’s top academic leaders in preventive and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hovden has been the recipient of many accolades and awards in recognition of his talent and skill—including multiple gold medals from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a highly sought-after author, lecturer, and teacher. As an accomplished author, Dr. Hovden has published several articles in highly respected dental journals and his work has been featured in numerous national publications. Currently, Dr. Hovden is a Spear Institute faculty member, mentoring dentists from around the United States at their prestigious teaching facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition, Dr. Hovden teaches at two other dental institutes. He has also founded Bay Area Aesthetic Master, a local study club dedicated to raising the knowledge of its 30+ members. Dr. Hovden belongs to several professional organizations and affiliations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). In 2018, cosmetic dentist Dr. Hovden was awarded Fellowship Status in the AACD (a designation enjoyed by only two members in Northern California, Nevada, and Oregon). He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo Dental Society, and is among a handful of general dentists invited to join the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Robert E. Lamb received his D.D.S. in 1967 from the University of California in San Francisco and his M.S.D. and certificate in Periodontics in 1972 from the University of Washington. His honors include O.K.U. Honorary Dental Fraternity, Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, Saul Schluger Endowed Visiting Professorship at the University of Washington, membership in the Studiengruppe für Restaurative Zahnheilkunde, honorary membership in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde, and honorary memberships in the Indian Academy of Osseointegration and the International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry. He has taught in the Department of Periodontics at the University of the Pacific since 1972 and is a Visiting Professor in Graduate Periodontics at the University of Washington. Dr. Lamb was an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the California Society of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo County Dental Society, the Studiengruppe für Restaurative Zahnheilkunde, the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Parodontologie, the European Federation of Periodontology, the International Academy of Periodontology, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde, the European Association for Osseointegration, the European Dental Association, the Indian Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
