5. IFG-Online Kongress: Ästhetik in der Zahnmedizin von heute – Umsetzung in der Praxis
Der neueste, nun bereits fünfte online-Kongress der IFG (internationale Fortbildungsgesellschaft), schliesst an das erfolgreiche Konzept der bisherigen online-Kongresse und online Seminare der IFG an, zu denen sich bereits 1900 sehr zufriedene Teilnehmer registriert haben. Eine bei allen bisherigen Teilnehmern der IFG-online-Seminare und -Kongresse sehr goutierter Aspekt ist, dass die jeweiligen Referate während des aufgeschalteten Zeitraums einzeln heruntergeladen werden können und zwar zu einem von Ihnen gewählten Zeitpunkt. Also dann, wenn sie Zeit und Muße haben oder sich z.B. beim Fitness die Zeit verkürzen wollen...
Der neue Kongress steht unter dem praxisrelevanten Thema der Ästhetik in der Zahnmedizin und deren Umsetzung in der täglichen Praxis.
Der Wunsch der Patienten nach Therapien, die auch unter ästhetischen Gesichtspunkten zufrieden stellende Ergebnisse liefern, spiegelt wider, dass eine natürlich wirkende Zahngesundheit im Bewusstsein der Patienten einen wichtigen Aspekt eingenommen hat. Dafür konnten insgesamt 13 national und international renommierte Referentinnen und Referenten aus Hochschule und Praxis gewonnen werden, die in allen Referaten ein wesentliches Augenmerk auf Tipps für die Praxis legen. In den Vorträgen von jeweils 45 Minuten Länge werden auch aktuelle wissenschaftliche Gesichtspunkte einen wesentlichen Platz einnehmen, um Ihnen eine ausreichende Therapiesicherheit zu gewährleisten.
Die Themenpalette reicht von den Grundlagen zur Zahnästhetik, modernen digitalen Verfahren, Hinweisen zu adäquaten Materialien bis hin zur Implantologie und Parodontologie und der Lösung komplexer Fälle unter dem Blickwinkel der optimalen Ästhetik. Auch die wichtigen Themen der Zahn-Extrusion, Kieferorthopädie, Stufen-Elevation, Funktionstherapie und das minimal-invasive Verfahren der Additional Veneers werden ausreichend gewürdigt.

In 1989, completed dental studies in Hamburg, received a scholarship from the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation, and completed overseas internships in Boston (Mass. Gen. Hospital, Harvard) and New York (NYU). Worked as a research assistant at the Polyclinic for Dental Preservation and Preventive Dentistry at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. In 1992, started leading the CMD clinic at the UKE (together with Dr. Jakstat). Conducted experimental research on the prevention of cleft lip and palate during doctoral studies in 1992. Received six conference awards from the German Society for Dental, Oral and Craniomandibular Sciences (DGFDT) between 1996 and 2016. Became a senior physician in 1997. Appointed as the Secretary General of the German Society for Dental, Oral and Craniomandibular Sciences (DGFDT) in 2001. Started teaching responsibilities at the Polyclinic for Dental Preservation and Preventive Dentistry in 2003. Completed habilitation in adhesive technology in 2004 and was appointed as a private lecturer. Founded and directed the CMD Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in 2005. Became an Associate Editor of the Journal of Craniomandibular Function (CMF) in 2008. Received the Alex Motsch Prize for Science from the DGFDT in 2015 and 2016. As of 2017, published over 150 papers and patents, including peer-reviewed articles, 18 guidelines, 2 textbooks in multiple editions, various textbook chapters, developed CMDfact diagnosis software and additional modules with Prof. Jakstat, and presented at numerous continuing education courses and conferences.
Vincent Fehmer, MDT, received his dental technical education and degree in Stuttgart, Germany, before completing fellowships in Great Britain and the United States in Oral Design–certified dental technical laboratories. After working several years in such a laboratory in Berlin, he received his MDT degree and became the chief dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2015, he has been a dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland. He also runs his own laboratory in Lausanne. Mr Fehmer is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), and a member of the Oral Design group as well as the European Association of Dental Technology (EADT) and the German Society of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ). He is a sought-after international speaker and has received many honors for his work, including the Kenneth Rudd Award from the American Prosthodontic Society. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals within the field of fixed prosthodontics and digital dental technology, contributed to many books, and recently coauthored the book Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology with Irena Sailer and Bjarni Pjetursson. Mr Fehmer also serves as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, editor-in-chief of Quintessence of Dental Technology, and Section Editor for the International Journal of Prosthodontics.

Since 2014, Dr Paolone is a Research Professor in Restorative Dentistry, Università Vita Salute San Raffaele, Milan. He has a PhD in Dental Biomaterials (Portsmouth University, UK). He is an associate member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and an active member of AIC. Dr Paolone served on the board of AIC (as Secretary) in 2018–2019, and on its the scientific committee (2020–2022). He has his own private practice in Rome. He is a Lecturer on the Master in Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, University of Bologna, Italy and on the Diploma in Esthetic Dentistry at Montpellier University, France. He is the author of the book "Restauri diretti nei settori posteriori" (Direct Posterior Composite Restorations) published in 2018, which has been translated into English, German, and Chinese. He is the author of the book "Restauri diretti nei settori anteriori" (Direct Anterior Restorations), published in 2020. He is also the author and co-author of several publications in international scientific journals and contributions in several textbooks. He has lectured on national and international courses and congresses.
Ralf J. Radlanski is Director of the Department of Craniofacial Developmental Biology at Charité, the Center for Dental and Craniofacial Sciences. As an anatomist, an internationally esteemed scientist, and as a practicing orthodontist, he works at the interface between biology-anatomy on the one hand and esthetic clinical requirements on the other, a crucial area of interaction in many clinical disciplines.
Irena Sailer, Prof Dr med dent, is chair of the Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the University of Geneva and adjunct associate professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In 2019, she received an Honorary Skou Professorship of digital dental technologies, fixed and implant prosthodontics, and biomaterials at Aarhus University, Denmark. Dr Sailer is editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Prosthodontics and coauthor of over 150 peer-reviewed publications as well as the books Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology (Quintessence, 2021) and Color in Dentistry (2017). She holds several patents on esthetic coatings of dental/medical devices and a digital dental splint.

In addition to implantology and implant prosthetics, Prof. Wolfarts’s research focuses on dental esthetics, the clinical testing of new all-ceramic materials, and the associated improvement in quality of life.
